Most of my images begin as one or more photographs and an idea. I work on my pictures on my Apple computers in software programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter, using my Wacom tablet which enables me to draw on the screen or with my computer mouse. I then print these images on canvas, fine art paper or other quality media, using my pigment based, archival Epson 4000 printer. Finally, sometimes I paint on select places on top of my images with acrylic paints. The process varies as I observe what seems most likely to work with an individual image. These images are fun to make, and I hope they bring joy to my viewers as well. I am part of a growing community of digital-based artists, although I am fairly sure my specific process with the designation of photoArt is unique. |
